His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Mahrum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Honorary Executive Board Member of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council watched  the Athletics Games of the 6th Asian Beach Games held at Phoenix Island, Sanya, China.

In the men's long jump event, national athlete Abdul Aqil Abd Kadir recorded a leap of 5.25 metres, placed 13th. The gold medal was won by an athlete from Viet Nam, Van Nghia Pham; while the silver medal went to the host nation, Yege Tao. The bronze medal was won by Sri Lankan athlete.
