Over 400 kilogrammes of garbage were collected during the beach cleaning campaign organised by Vil-Laju Brunei with the support from Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, JASTRe. Held in conjunction with Earth Day, it was held at Lumut Recreation Beach, Belait District.

The campaign was participated by one hundred people including youth and school students. Such an initiative is hoped can foster awareness among the youth on the importance of maintaining a clean environment. Vil-Laju Brunei is one of the organisations that aims to empower the community and build the youth capacity in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035.
