118 intending haj pilgrims for this year's haj season from the Ministry of Defence received contributions during the Jiwa Murni Ceremony. The ceremony took place at Dewan Pahlawan, Berakas Garrison. Present to hand over the contributions were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence and Datin; Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Datin; Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence and Datin AND Brigadier General (Udara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Commander of the RBAF and Datin. A tazkirah titled “Perjalanan  Menuju Keampunan: Peluang Sekali Seumur Hidup", further enlivened the event.
