His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, 8th May night, attended a Gala Dinner in honour of Heads of State and Government of ASEAN and special guests who were attending the 48th ASEAN Summit and Related Summit, hosted by His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of Philippines and Chairman of ASEAN, and spouse, First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Upon arrival at the Mactan Expo, Cebu City, His Majesty was welcomed by His Excellency the President of the Philippines and spouse. The Gala Dinner was enlivened with several cultural performances.
