The duties of a fire and rescue personnel is not only to put out fires and save lives, but also to carry out charitable activities. This includes organising a blood donation campaign in conjunction with the Fire and Rescue Department's 66th Anniversary Celebration. 59 pints of blood were collected during the campaign held at the Fire and Rescue Department's Headquarters in Berakas.

Similar campaigns will also be held in the other districts. Belait District will hold such a campaign on the 23rd of May at the Municipal Hall in Kuala Belait and Seria, while in Temburong District it will be held on the 9th of June at the Youth Centre, Temburong and in Tutong District on the 29th of June at the National Isolation Centre. The public is urged to join the campaign to help increase the country's blood reserves.
