The International Nursing and Midwifery Day is celebrated in appreciation of the services and contributions of nurses and midwives in the country, besides strengthening unity, cooperation and professionalism in the fields of nursing and midwifery. In conjunction with the celebration, 12th may afternoon, the Ministry of Health held a mass Fardhu Zuhur and Sunat Hajat Prayers, reading of Tahlil and special doa. The ceremony took place at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The celebration is a platform to empower leadership and enhance the safety and quality of nursing and midwifery services so that they continue to be resilient, innovative and proactive.
