Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad, BIBD led the structuring and arrangement of a five hundred million Brunei Dollar Islamic finance facility for Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sendirian Berhad, BFI. The achievement not only demonstrates BIBD's financial leadership, but also symbolizes its role as a pillar of the country's Islamic economy that provides real value as well as fosters sustainable growth and profits for stakeholders, in line with Syariah principles. An Agreement Handover Ceremony was held at the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, 13th May afternoon.

Witnessing the handover of the agreement were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy who is also the Chairman of BFI and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs as Chairman of BIBD. As the Lead Arranger, BIBD leads the collaboration with local and international financial institutions. This facility also reflects BFI's strategic approach to capital management and fulfils its long-term commitment to its shareholders.
