His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will be making an Official Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, which will be held on 18th and 19th of May 2026, upon invitation from His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany.

During this Official Visit, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is expected to meet His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany to discuss matters of mutual interest to reaffirm and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Federal Republic of Germany. Diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Federal Republic of Germany were established on 1st of May 1984, where both countries have extensive cooperation in various fields such as trade, defence, education, health, and technical cooperation. This would be His Majesty's fourth Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany since 1998. His Majesty made a State Visit to the country in 1998 and two Official Visits in 2002 and 2011.
