His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in a sabda noted that Huawei has achieved significant success in research and technological development, particularly as one of the leading pioneers in Artificial Intelligence in China. His Royal Highness also stated that Huawei's “FOUR NEW Strategy" has strengthened the company's growth direction, as reflected in its 20-year presence in Brunei Darussalam, which has supported the development of the country's digital infrastructure. Huawei continues to be an important partner in enhancing digital connectivity in Brunei Darussalam. His Royal Highness made the sabda when he visited the Leju Robot and Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen.

 

In the field of education, His Royal Highness in the sabda expressed appreciation for Huawei's collaboration through initiatives such as the Smart Classroom, solar energy projects, Seeds for the Future, and the ICT Academy at Universiti Teknologi Brunei, which offers training in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and 5G. These initiatives are seen as important in nurturing a skilled and future-ready generation. His Royal Highness in the sabda, reaffirmed Brunei Darussalam's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Huawei, particularly in technology and emerging industries of mutual interest. Earlier, His Royal Highness visited the Leju Robot Headquarters. 

 

The visit to Leju Robot Headquarters provided an opportunity to examine approaches to artificial intelligence (AI) governance, including the application of such technologies in education policy, smart curriculum development and the use of technology-based learning methods to support future educational needs.

 

His Royal Highness' arrival at Leju Robot Headquarters was welcomed by Professor Leng Xiaokun, Founder of Leju Robot; Mr. Chang Lin, Chief Executive Officer of Leju Robot; and Mr. Zhendong Ke, Vice President of Leju Robot. His Royal Highness first received a briefing on Leju Robot's advanced robotics technologies and innovations in artificial intelligence-driven automation, before viewing a robotic demonstration at the exhibition display area showcasing its latest smart robotics applications and capabilities. Leju Robot, established in 2016, is a developer and manufacturer of full-sized humanoid robots such as KUAVO, AELOS and PANDO. The company possesses specialised expertise in programming and coding, which can contribute to strengthening digital skills and technological literacy among students.

 

His Royal Highness then visited the Huawei Headquarters. His Royal Highness was welcomed upon arrival by Mr. Wang Jianfeng, Supervisory Board Member, President of the Public Affairs and Communications Department and Mr. Du Peng, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Huawei International Private Limited. His Royal Highness was first briefed on Huawei's technological developments and achievements in the field of Artificial Intelligence, digital innovation, and its strategic partnerships at the global level and in Brunei Darussalam. Afterwards, His Royal Highness proceeded to the Neumann Exhibition and viewed several exhibitions related to Huawei's collaboration with government agencies in Brunei Darussalam.
