To recognize and appreciate the services and contributions of officers and staff who have served for more than 20 years with the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a Long Service Medal, PKL Presentation Ceremony was held, to more than 240 officers and staff in the Prime Minister's Office and the Departments under it. The PKL presentation was held in conjunction with His Majesty's 79th Birthday Celebration. The ceremony took place at the Prime Minister's Office, 16th May afternoon.

The presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Hj Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The awarding of the Medal is hoped to instil the spirit of the recipients to continue providing excellent service.
