The discussion session with the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade, BWA, which was held on the side-lines of the Official Visit of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to the Federal Republic of Germany, highlighted Brunei Darussalam's strategic gateway to the ASEAN market and the importance of strengthening partnerships between Bruneian and German businesses and institutions. The discussion session was held in Berlin. The country's delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The discussion has established a structured dialogue between Brunei and German business institutions and paved the way for targeted investment roundtable discussions between both countries.

The Federal Republic of Germany's delegation was led by The Honourable Michael Schumann, the Chairman of BWA. The engagement reflected the commitment of the Government of His Majesty in further expanding mutually beneficial investment and trade opportunities and deeper cooperation between both countries.
