The Foundation-Laying Ceremony for the Construction of Aid Houses under Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Housing Assistance Scheme 2025-2026 organised by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah took place on 22nd May morning. The construction project for four houses in Brunei Muara District and a house in Belait District took place in Kampung Katok, Jalan Tungku.

The ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as a Member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. The aid house construction project is expected to be completed in October this year.
