In conjunction with World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry, AITI, is organising the 'Digital Lifelines Walk'. This year's theme is 'Digital Connectivity: Strengthening Sustainability in a Connected World.' The event took place at Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. The event included a 3-kilometre walk. World Telecommunication and Information Society Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of using the internet and Information and Communication Technology in helping to develop society and the economy. Also held were exhibitions, including the Waspada dot b-n website, an initiative to enhance online safety and the responsible use of digital technology.
