His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of condolences to His Excellency Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Junior, President of the Republic of the Philippines, the Government and the people of the Republic of the Philippines, following the recent earthquake in Southern Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines that resulted in the loss of lives and destruction.​
