Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman took part in a beach clean-up and Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the Turtle Hatchery Project at Meragang Beach, 14th June morning. The activity held in conjunction with the Brunei Ocean Week and the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition. Also present were Her Royal Highness' children: Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman; and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az- Zahraa' Raaihanul Bolkiah.
The beach clean-up at Meragang Beach carried the theme 'Protecting Brunei's Beaches, One Clean-Up at a Time', aimed to encourage more people to take practical actions in protecting the nation's coastal and marine environment. Her Royal Highness also graced the Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the Turtle Hatchery Project. Organised by the Poni Foundation with the support of Poni Group and Baiduri Bank, the ceremony marked the start of on-site work for a conservation project focused on turtle protection and the preservation of coastal areas. Also present was Awang Haji Afif Daraina bin Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
