19/06/2026  Conservation Exhibition in conjunction with International Museum Day Celebration

National

In conjunction with International Museum Day Celebration, "Conservation Exhibition: Preserved Heritage" aims to raise awareness about the role of museums as guardians of the country's cultural heritage, educational centres and spaces for social dialogue. It also provides the public with an opportunity to explore and appreciate the country's preserved heritage treasures. Among the collection materials on display are paper materials, books, 'celapa', ceramics, woven materials and clothing textiles. The exhibition, which will last for more than a month, will be held until 30th of JUNE at the Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. This was shared by the Curator of Preservation and Restoration at the Museums Department.

Efforts to preserve cultural heritage can not only protect the heritage itself, but can also maintain national identity, support research and promote the country's cultural heritage as a source of learning and cultural tourism.
