The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Departments under it also held the Ilal Hijrah Celebration Ceremony. Organised by the Department of Immigration and National Registration, the event took place at the Ministry, 20th June afternoon.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Coordinating Minister For Social And Manpower Policies and Minister of Home Affairs. The ceremony was highlighted with a Special Talk titled " Dari Niat Ke Tindakan; Menjayakan Hijrah Kehidupan" which, among other things, reminded that true hijrah is not just about having the intention or desire to change, but requires real, consistent and continuous action in improving oneself. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council.
