Strong education systems are built by strong professionals, including Education Specialists. Education specialists are the architects of potential and the navigators of diverse learning landscapes. Providing tailored support for diverse learning needs, Education Specialists' impact resonates far beyond the classroom. Speaking at the 5th Education Specialists Seminar 2026, the Minister of Education hoped that the seminar will be a catalyst for renewed dedication, innovative thinking, and a strengthened collective resolve. According to Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, as educational challenges become more complex, there is an increasing need for deeper expertise, stronger professional judgement, and specialised knowledge, with the hope of building an educational ecosystem where every child has the opportunity to flourish. 313 participants attended the seminar, comprising primary, secondary school and higher education teachers, as well as School Leaders. It was organised by the Ministry of Education, through the Department of Educators Management at the Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

A keynote session titled “Empowering Excellence: Nurturing Talent, Leadership and Specialisation in Education", among others highlighted the importance of developing expertise and enhancing the strategic role of Education Specialists in strengthening the education system. Also held was a Learning Circle session that allowed participants to further explore the topic through interactive discussions and a question-and-answer. Among the objective of the Seminar is to build leadership capacity among Education Specialists and foster interdisciplinary dialogue across areas of specialisation. Also present was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Deputy Minister of Education.
