Participants of the Outreach and Policy Exchange Seminar participated in a mangrove sapling planting activity at the AKAR Carbon Project site in Serasa Beach, 25th June afternoon. The initiative, led by the Poni Foundation in collaboration with ASTARI, focused on nature-based restoration approaches, community livelihoods and blue carbon financing.
The mangrove planting effort helps transform environmental stewardship into sustainable economic value. It highlights a coherent, science-based approach to protecting biodiversity and strengthening the resilience of the country's marine ecosystems, which are facing increasing environmental pressures due to climate change.
