24 senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, were promoted. The promotion was with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Three officers were promoted to Colonel, 14 officers were promoted to Lieutenant Colonel/ Commander, Royal Brunei Navy and seven officers were promoted to Acting Lieutenant Colonel/ Commander, Royal Brunei Navy. The Rank Insignia Presentation Ceremony took place at the Officers' Mess, Bolkiah Garrison, 26th June morning.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The rank insignias were presented by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF.
