Bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America are set to reach a new milestone as both nations officially upgrade their ties to a Strategic Partnership, with a formal announcement expected in Washington next month. The outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam, highlighted this development during an exclusive farewell interview with RTB. Her Excellency Caryn Roberta McClelland also expressed her deep gratitude to the people of Brunei for their warmth and unparalleled hospitality, as well as remains highly optimistic that the incoming leadership at the U.S. Embassy will seamlessly continue to advance shared mutual goals in trade, investment, and regional peace.​
