The National Flag Hoisting and Handover Ceremony to Mukim Penghulu in all four districts was also held, 1st July morning.

In Brunei Muara District, the event took place at the Brunei Muara District Office's Building Compound. The handover of the flag was officiated by Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, Deputy Minister of Finance. Also present was the Acting Brunei Muara District Officer.

At Taman Persiaran Menara Cendera Kenangan Kuala Belait, the handover of the flag was officiated by Dayang Hajah Tutiyati binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade And Industry. Also present were the Acting Belait District Officer and Members of the Legislative Council.

In Tutong District, a similar ceremony was also held at the Tutong District Civic Centre Complex. The handover of the flag was officiated by Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Deputy Minister Of Development. Also present were the Acting Tutong District Officer and Members of the Legislative Council.

Meanwhile, the car park area of Mukim Bangar Civic Centre Complex, Temburong District was the focus of such an event. The handover of the flag was officiated by Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Deputy Minister of Education. Also present were the Acting Temburong District Officer and members of the Legislative Council.
