The 1st Brunei Darussalam School Games Tournament opened yesterday afternoon at Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School. The tournament is organised by the Ministry of Education through the Department of Co-Curriculum Education.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Doctor Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education. The tournament was for students under 18 years in 2022 and are studying in Year 7 to Year 13 in government and private secondary schools, colleges, sixth form centres under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Six contingents participated in the tournament consisting of Clusters 1 to 6. The tournament, among others, aimed to identify potential and talented students to represent the Brunei Darussalam Schools Sports Council to tournaments at the national, regional and international levels.
