Climate change should be regarded as a socio-economic issue, not just an environmental issue. The matter was stated by The President of the Islamic Development Bank IDB, Doctor Muhammad Al Jasser in an interview.

He said IDB are advising their member countries to pay attention to climate change. Recently, the Arab Coordination Group has agreed a target of financing for climate change of around 24 billion dollars. The IDB alone is contributing at least 13 billion dollars. 35 percent of all our lending will be climate friendly projects.
