Presentation of Haj Package PaymentsThe Department of Zakat, Waqaf and Baitulmal Affairs held the Presentation of Haj Package Payments to Haj Operators and pocket money for 20 selected new converts that met the conditions to obtain Haj Fare from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to perform the Fardhu Haj for 1447 Hijrah/ 2026 Haj Season. Each recipient received a fare totalling to 4 thousand 5 hundred Brunei Dollars, according to the rates given to Government officials. The event took place on 13th April afternoon at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Labour Force Survey 2025The Preliminary Report of the Labour Force Survey, LFS 2025 shows that the total population of working age, 18 years and above increased by 0.8 per cent, from 346,000 persons in 2024 to 348,700 persons in 2025. Of the total, 66.5 per cent participated in the labour force, while 33.5 per cent were outside the labour force. The Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, Ministry of Finance of Economy in its report shared the employed population in 2025 was 220,400 persons, a decrease of 0.9 per cent compared with 222,300 persons in 2024.
